Combination of Filler and Botox Treatments

For many patients, Botox as a procedure by itself is effective enough for relaxing muscles in the face achieving a smooth finish. But for older clients whose skin has deeper lines and less elasticity, a combination of Filler and Botox maybe more effective.

When lines are deep on the face and the Botox is successfully preventing movement of the area, skin quality plays a very big part to play in its appearance. Some skin is too damaged or excessively aged to get rid of deep lines entirely. We have combined Botox with Filler treatments for cases like this to create maximum results.

We at My Pure Aesthetics use Botox to mainly create a more youthful appearance by temporarily freezing facial muscles. Botox stops signals from the nerves to the muscles which prevent the injected area from being able to contract. This results in the softening of the wrinkles/lines in areas such as:

  • Forehead (frown lines)
  • Between the eyes
  • Crow’s feet around the eyes
  • Smile lines around the cheeks

Filler treatments are done to add volume or fill in a particular area. The filler is made from hyaluronic acid, which we already have naturally in our bodies.

Muscles do not respond to the Botox injections immediately and usually take around two weeks to see the full results. What we suggest is, if we are doing a combination of Filler and Botox, we would like to administer the Botox first. Then once the results have been achieved, i.e. the area has been given enough time for the muscles to relax, usually two weeks, we would then like to carry out the Filler treatment (Click here to read about Lip Filler London.)

The results can last between 3-6 months but vary from patient to patient. If you have had Botox injections in that area before, the results should last longer. The more an area is treated, the more the muscles relax for a longer period of time.

As mentioned before, patients can experience slight swelling and bruising but most do not. There is also a risk of minor lumpiness and vascular occlusion as with any injections, but again very unlikely. It is possible to develop a resistance to Botox but this is extremely uncommon.

Botox injections at My Pure Aesthetics starts from £140 but depends on the amount of areas that are being treated and how big the area/areas are. Filler starts from £200, but again prices vary depending on the amount of filler is needed. It would be best to book in a consultation to discuss your individual aesthetic goals, concerns and an accurate price.
