Say No To Rubbery, Ducky Lips

We say NO to rubbery ducky lips! Lip fillers are our most popular procedure here at My Pure Aesthetics. Lip fillers are so much more than just adding volume to the lip area. We believe lip fillers are an art form and done correctly, can create some amazing, transformational results!

We like to pride ourselves on using lip filler to create volume, minimize asymmetry in the lip area, definition in the border lines and creating sharper cupid’s bows.

The filler used at our clinics are two of the industry’s lead brands Restylane and Juvederm. The filler is made out of hyaluronic acid which we have naturally in our bodies.  We strongly believe that lips should not look rubbery, ducky or unnatural.

For drastic changes in the lip’s definition or volume, this should not be done in one session. Here at My Pure Aesthetics, we do not administer more than 1.5ml at a time in the lip area. This is to allow the skin to gradually stretch to accommodate the increase in volume. If too much filler is injected into the area at one time, then ducky lips can be a result of this. It is also very important to place the dermal filler correctly. We will not inject filler above the vermillion border (your lip line), when this is done, this creates unnatural looking results. We try our best to create beautiful, natural looking lips by putting these measures into practice.

Every patient is different, but results usually last between 6-18 months. The body naturally absorbs the filler, and the rate of this depends on the patient’s age, metabolism, the amount of exercise they do and lifestyle choices such as smoking.

All fillers are reversible from when the treatment is administered ensuring, if in the unlikely event you didn’t like the achieved results we can reverse them in seconds by using a filler dissolver.

Patients may experience slight bruising, swelling or redness. The treatment is carried out under topical anaesthetic, which means that patients are awake and can therefore see what is being done. The procedure takes around 20 minutes once injecting commences and there is no down-time. There is also a risk of minor lumpiness and vascular occlusion as with any injections, but again very unlikely.

Lip filler treatments at My Pure Aesthetics starts from £150 but depends on how much product is required. Please check our price list here.
